About us

The Automobile and Motorcycle Association of Slovenia (AMZS) has more than a century of tradition. Its origins are based on the Carniola Automobile club, founded in 1909, and related international organisations. With 104 societies (77 full members and 27 associate members) and more than 90.000 members, it is the largest representative of interests of drivers and other road users in Slovenia.

AMZS ensures that its members enjoy carefree mobility. With several partners it provides not only assistance on the road, but also a wide range of benefits and advantages at home and abroad.

We provide roadside assistance in Slovenia, both in-house and in cooperation with contractors. In other countries, AMZS provides roadside assistance to its members in cooperation with partner automobile clubs.

The Automobile and Motorcycle Association of Slovenia is the largest Slovenian non-governmental organisation in the field of safe mobility. It is also the national motorsport and karting federation (motocross, supermoto, speedway, vintage motorcycling, enduro, cross country, trials and karting).

The Automobile and Motorcycle Association of Slovenia is a member of international federations and associations such as:

  • FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile) and FIA/AIT (Alliance Internationale de Tourisme),
  • FIM (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme) and FIM Europe,
  • Alpe Adria Motorcycle Union,
  • ARC Europe.
